2008; A turbulent year!!
2008 is already coming to an end! What a turbulent year it was! I was back on my board in January after a 5,5 month rehab due to my first ACL injury.

I won the WWA cable Worlds in July and the boat Europeans in August.

Competition wise a very good year, because I achieved all my goals! But then the unexpected happened... I tore the ACL in my other knee during the finals of the World Cup stop in Singapore. At the moment I fell, I knew it wasn't good. I felt the same ‘pop' as before, but just denied it. Unfortunately the MRI told me otherwise.

It seemed that I had a complete ACL rupture and the story would just start all over.Of course it was a big bummer, but no point grieving for too long. So many good things crossing my path.. Will keep my head up and face the future with a smile!

It's gonna be a refreshing 2009!
